I'm not running from anything. Rather, I'm running towards: - a deeper connection with my body, mind, and spirit - challenges that recalibrate my sense of what's hard in life - exploring new, often seldom-seen parts of the world - experiencing new adventures in familiar places - connections and relationships that enhance the joy in my life - a way to practice moving meditation when sinking into flow-state - recharging my own batteries so I can show up at my best for those around me - and countless other reasons - oh, and can't forget those belt buckles... 😜 2025 was a year full of challenges that forced me to grow in so many different ways, and I'm extremely grateful for all of it. Route With the normal R2R2R trail still closed, I decided to check out the much less traveled (and known) alternate route which heads down the South Bass Trail. Much more rugged and harder to route find, I ended up getting lost for a couple of hours. I also only did the south rim to the river and back out - I'm not quite ready for the full experience where you have to swim across the Colorado River to continue up to the north rim (there is no bridge connecting the 2 sides...)
