When I heard Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain again, all I could hear was the sounds of the guitars the aunties and unclest played when I danced with my Hula Hālau at home in Hawaii. It is such a beautiful melody. I thought it deserved its own hula dance and so I choreographed this and filmed it in 2022. A couple weeks later I lost one of my childhood friends who had the most piercing blue eyes.
